The Challenge

Our clients called upon Black Brick’s services to help them buy a family home in central London. They were living in a rental in Marylebone, which Black Brick had also found for them, and very much liked the area. But they were struggling to find a suitable property to buy.

 

The Perfect Conclusion

There is a real shortage of family houses in this area and after an extensive and meticulous search our advice was to extend their search parameters – just a little.

We suggested that Connaught Village – the streets around Connaught Square, close to Hyde Park – could be a perfect compromise. Less hectic than Marylebone, the area has a similar vibe with its independent shops, cafes and restaurants. And it is less than a mile away from the centre of Marylebone.

They were enthusiastic about our idea and we were able to show them a stunning refurbished period townhouse with 5 bedrooms. The 2,400 square foot property was on the market for £3,850,00, but we were able to negotiate that price down to £3,500,000 , a saving of £350,000.
