Our clients were relocating to the UK from Singapore with their young family and wanted to find a safe, convenient neighbourhood with good links to the West End. Being based in Singapore with a big-time difference and short on time, meant engaging the services of a buying agent made perfect sense.

Our clients engaged our buying agency service to help them navigate the often complex London property market, give expert guidance on different areas, and to manage their purchase from beginning to end. Amid an uncertain economic backdrop, and limited high-quality stock available, our challenge was to find a four bedroom freehold house in turnkey condition. The focus area was wide and led by school options, covering Queens Park, Fulham, Ealing, and Battersea.

We undertook a thorough search of the market across the multiple areas, working alongside our client’s education consultant to ensure the properties we recommended, were in line with the schools they were considering. Having previewed multiple options on and off the market, we presented the best properties to our clients who only had a week in the UK to view and to make a decision. We spent a weekend showing our clients the best properties across the different neighbourhoods, and as the search progressed, Battersea became the focus due to a particular school, as well as the neighbourhood and transport links to the West End.

We quickly identified a property that was off market and that met many of our clients requirements. We presented a well-constructed offer to the sellers, and following negotiations, agreed a price at 6% below the guide price.

 

The Perfect Conclusion

Ensuring our client had the best team in place to advance the purchase was essential, recommending solicitors and surveyors from our experienced black book and communicating with all parties throughout the process. We are delighted that our clients have now exchanged on the purchase, and have no doubt the family will enjoy living on the doorstep to Battersea Park.
