Our clients were relocating from mainland Europe and were looking for a family home within a 30 min commute to the British Library. They had a distinct requirement for a period property with two generous work-from-home spaces and access to green space.
We successfully sourced this stunning period duplex flat, with its own private garden, leading directly to a communal garden. We were able to take our clients on tours across a selection of areas that were within the target commute time, identifying the best properties to look at within those areas. Ultimately, we agreed terms to purchase this beautiful flat in Maida Vale on one of the area’s most sought after roads backing directly onto private communal gardens, which had the perfect layout for their work from home requirements and access to a lovely private garden. Through our skills of negotiation, we were able to negotiate a £750,000 (14%) discount from the asking price. We also introduced our clients to a team of professionals, including surveyors, heritage specialist, architects and contractors as they plan on doing significant work to the property.
