The Challenge

Our clients loved the property we found for them but had decided that they were going to make London their permanent home and so wanted to purchase an apartment of at least 2500 square feet and crucially with an amazing view. The budget was flexible but our clients wanted to feel that they were getting value for their acquisition given that they were so happy in their rental property.

 

The Perfect Conclusion

Our clients were very open to a number of locations within London and so we spent considerable time looking at a wide variety of neighbourhoods. From Hampstead in the North to Kensington in the West as well as more Central areas like Fitzrovia and Marylebone. It became evident that finding ‘the perfect view’ was a considerable challenge.

As a result of our network we became aware that the penthouse in the building they were renting in was potentially available. The building is a boutique collection of just 57 spacious New York loft style apartments. The apartments benefit from 2.9m ceiling heights and floor to ceiling windows. Residents benefit from 24 hour concierge, a sky garden and gym. The apartment had been retained by the developer who had used it as a rental investment and offered not only 2500 square foot but the most incredible terrace with far reaching views across London.

We were able to purchase the apartment ‘off market’ for £6,500,000 to include a parking space. This equated to a price of £2474 per square foot which represented real value when compared to similar new build properties in the local area.
