We sourced this rare country estate for our client in 2021. Over the course of the next few years, he found he wasn’t using it as much as he had hoped and so wanted to sell it. The country house market was in decline and the challenge was that our client wanted to recoup all his buying costs plus achieve a profit.
We advised our client to keep the estate off market and allow us to approach just a handful of other buying agents and private family offices rather than go down the route of open marketing. This approach worked exceptionally well and in a short space of time we identified the perfect buyer for the house who was willing to pay a significant premium in order to buy an exceptional off market estate.
