The Challenge

Our client was in the process of relocating from Geneva to London to be closer to his family. The challenge was to find a detached house in Southwest London, with good connections to both Notting Hill for his children’s schooling and London bridge for work. The focus was to find a modern property in excellent condition, as well as being secluded and with secure off-street parking. Our client engaged our rental search service to help search, negotiate terms, and manage the process from start to finish.

 

The Perfect Conclusion

We undertook a thorough search of the market and with little available stock, we also researched properties available on the sales market that might consider renting. We spent time showing our client the very best options across Southwest London, including Richmond, Putney, and Wandsworth and as the search evolved, the focus narrowed down to the Richmond area and specifically a house on the sales market that met the majority of our client’s brief.

 

We entered into negotiations with the landlord, highlighting our clients’ strengths as an excellent tenant, and reminded the landlord of the challenges of selling in the current market. We successfully secured a two-year tenancy at a reduced price of £11,000 per calendar month, down from £13,500 per calendar month, an impressive18.52% saving.
