Our client was a high profile property developer in India. He wanted to secure a property that he and his family could use when visiting London, but also something that was a good investment. He was not keen on any of the new, modern, very expensive developments in Knightsbridge, but wanted something with period features.

Through our contacts, we identified an off market, 1st floor, lateral apartment in Lowndes Square, with 11 ft ceiling heights and views over the garden square. The flat also benefitted from a share in the freehold, porter and parking. Lowndes Square is one of the most prestigious addresses in Knightsbridge, but also extremely difficult to get a good deal in, where many of the flats are overpriced or have a short lease.

We managed to source a 4 bedroom house in a very desirable street in Knightsbridge. We had to negotiate aggressively against another buyer, but we were still successful and managed to save our client £85,000 from the asking price. Since completing the transaction, our client has added significant value to the property by excavating the basement adding a further 250 sq feet.
